The Baselayer Challenge was born in Girona with a simple idea: to take on the climbs that have made this region one of cycling’s great stages.

After experiencing our first edition in Girona and taking the challenge to Cerdanya, we’re returning to where it all began.

And this time, we do so with everything we’ve learned along the way, more motivated than ever, and ready for a new day of pushing ourselves to the limit. Choose your challenge: go all in with Ultimate, our longest and most demanding route, or embrace the Essence challenge, with fewer kilometres and less elevation but the same spirit, the same iconic roads and the same reward at the finish.

SOME CLIMBS ARE ABOUT MORE THAN REACHING THE TOP

There are climbs you know before you’ve ever ridden them. You’ve seen them on a map, in a photograph, on a shared route. But when you finally face them, they stop being a line on a map and become a road that rises, one bend after another, your breathing, your legs getting heavier. And you keep going. One more bend, then another, until you reach the top, look back and smile. Because some rewards only come from accepting a great challenge.

This new edition of the Baselayer Challenge takes us back to the most iconic climbs around Girona, for a day on the bike that will be much more than just a route. An experience to share kilometres, landscapes, effort and smiles with fellow cyclists who share the same passion. And, as always, Tactic will take care of creating the experience so you can focus on what really matters: riding. Because there is always another mountain to climb, another challenge to take on, and another opportunity to discover how far we can go.
